Christopher Faulk, USPTR, CSCS

COach Chris Faulk has been the Head Men’s and Women’s Tennis Coach at Washington & Jefferson College since January 2012, the Assistant Director of Intramural and Club Sports since July 2013, and an Adjunct Faculty member in the Physical Education Department since August 2014. Coach Faulk is a USPTR Certified Teaching Professional and a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the NSCA. A two-time PAC Conference Champion and PAC Player of the Year in 2010, Coach Faulk has 20 years of competitive playing experience. With a career coaching record of 112 wins and 84 losses, he has coached seven individuals to PAC Conference Championships. Coach Faulk earned PAC Men’s Tennis Coach of the Year Honors in 2014 and 2015 becoming the first person to receive both Player and Coach of the Year honors in PAC Tennis history.

A native of Washington, PA, Coach Faulk played his high school tennis at Washington High School where he was a PIAA doubles state qualifier and a WPIAL Singles 3rd Place finisher.  During his high school years he competed frequently in USTA junior tennis earning district, state, and national rankings.  He attended Washington & Jefferson College from 2006-2010 and played 1st singles and 1st doubles for his entire college career. In 2008, he teamed with current W&J Assistant Tennis Coach, Jeff Miller-Tomaino, to win the PAC #1 Doubles title, and in 2010, he became just the third player in W&J Tennis history to win the PAC #1 Singles title.

After graduating from W&J in 2010, Coach Faulk went on to become the Assistant Tennis Coach at W&J in 2010-2011 while also working as a full-time tennis instructor at the Peters Township Tennis Center in McMurray, PA.  He was promoted to Head Coach at W&J in January 2012 as he was completing his Masters degree in Information Science at the University of Pittsburgh.

Coach Faulk currently resides in Pittsburgh, PA with his wife and his incredibly lazy beagle-basset hound.

nATE IS A RISING SOPHOMORE AT WASHINGTON & JEFFERSON cOLLEGE AND THE CURRENT #1 SINGLES AND #1 DOUBLES PLAYER ON THE MEN'S TENNIS TEAM. hE IS IN THE pRE-HEALTH PROGRAM. As a freshman, nate compiled an outstanding 18-2 singles record and a 13-5 doubles record and took 3rd place at 1st Singles in the pac tournament.

a GRADUATE OF PETERS TOWNSHIP HIGH SCHOOL IN MCMURRAY, PA, NATE WAS A FOUR-YEAR STARTER on the boys tennis team. AS A SENIOR PLAYING FIRST DOUBLES, NATE HELPED PETERS TOWNSHIP REACH THE PIAA STATE TEAM TOURNAMENT.

NATE IS A USTA CERTIFIED OFFICIAL AND HAS A WEALTH OF EXPERIENCE RUNNING TOURNAMENTS, TEACHING, AND MANAGING TENNIS FACILITIES. HE HAS WORKED THE FRONT DESK AT THE PETERS TOWNSHIP TENNIS CENTER THROUGHOUT HIS HIGH SCHOOL YEARS AND IN TO THE PRESENT.
